Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounts & Finance
MBA / Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline from a reputed university.

Experience

At least 12 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Dyeing Factory

Additional Requirements

Professional qualification such as CA (CC), CMA, ACCA, or equivalent will be given preference.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10–15 years of relevant professional experience in Accounts & Finance.
At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior management position in the RMG / Textile / Garments Manufacturing industry.
Candidates with strong experience in export-oriented manufacturing organizations will be preferred.
Additional Requirements
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS), applicable IFRS, VAT, Tax, and statutory compliance.
Sound knowledge of RMG manufacturing costing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Practical experience in banking, LC, export-import documentation, and foreign exchange management.
Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

SCANDEX (BD) LIMITED, a 100% export-oriented knit garments manufacturing company, is looking for a competent, experienced, and dynamic professional for the position of AGM / DGM – Accounts & Finance to lead and manage the overall Accounts & Finance functions of the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial discipline, effective financial planning, cost control, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Planning

Lead and supervise the overall Accounts & Finance Department.
Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management.
Ensure effective financial planning and optimum utilization of company funds.

2. Accounting & Financial Reporting

Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial records.
Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Establish effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.

3. Cost Control & Management Accounting

Monitor production costs, overheads, and operational expenses.
Analyze product costing, cost variances, and profitability.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and financial efficiency.
Coordinate with Production, Commercial, Merchandising, HR & Admin, and other departments for budgetary control.
Prepare management reports highlighting financial performance and areas requiring improvement.

4. Banking, Commercial & Foreign Exchange

Manage banking relationships and financial facilities.
Oversee LC, export proceeds realization, import payments, and other banking transactions in coordination with the Commercial Department.
Monitor loan facilities, interest expenses, and bank liabilities.
Ensure proper documentation for export-import transactions and foreign exchange compliance.

5. Taxation, VAT & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax, VAT & SD, and other relevant financial regulations of Bangladesh.
Supervise VAT returns, tax returns, withholding tax, and related statutory submissions.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure timely completion of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

6. Audit & Internal Control

Coordinate internal and external audits.
Ensure proper implementation of financial policies, SOPs, and internal control systems.
Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
Ensure transparency, accountability, and accuracy in all financial transactions.

7. Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead, develop, and motivate the Accounts & Finance team.
Establish departmental KPIs and performance monitoring systems.
Ensure timely financial information and reports for management decision-making.
Work closely with the Managing Director, Chairman, and other departmental heads.
