The candidate must have thorough practical knowledge as a head of store for at least 5 years in any large compliant garment industry.
The candidate must have the capacity to maintain store audit requirements independently & to take instant necessary corrective measures.
Should have good command in the English language and be well conversant in computer applications.
Having thorough knowledge on all import/export procedures related to a large and reputed compliant Garments Industry.
Must have full knowledge of compliance requirements of major USA/EU customers.
Responsibilities & Context
The management of a reputed group of companies owning 100% export-oriented woven & knit RMG units is looking for a qualified & dynamic Store Manager for immediate appointment at establishments located at Board Bazar, Gazipur and Dhaka EPZ, Savar.
Material Receiving and Inspection: Oversee the unloading, physical count, and quality inspection of incoming fabrics, leather, buttons, zippers, poly bags, and local/imported accessories.
Inventory Control & ERP Management: Maintain accurate digital and physical records (bin cards, stock registers, and ERP systems like Excel or specialized software) for all receipts, issues, and balances.
FIFO / FEFO Implementation: Enforce First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) stock rotation to prevent fabric aging, color shading, or material damage.
Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records and Bill of Materials (BOM) / Purchase Order (PO) data.
Storage and Environmental Control: Ensure proper warehouse layout and climate controls (temperature, humidity, and cleanliness) particularly for sensitive fabrics and trims.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Production, Commercial, Quality, and Procurement teams to track consumption and prevent line-stop shortages.
Wastage and Loss Mitigation: Minimize fabric/accessory wastage, handling damages, and obsolete/dead stock.
Audit & Compliance Support: Maintain documentation for internal, buyer, and customs/bonded warehouse compliance audits.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule store assistants, forklift operators, and loading/unloading staff.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock statements, consumption reports, and MIS summaries for management.
Layout: Organize and optimize the layout of the store for efficient operations.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies regarding fabric and accessories storage and handling.
Issues: Address and resolve issues related to fabric/accessories shortages, quality discrepancies, or delivery delays.
Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies or operational inefficiencies.
Any other tasks assigned by the management.
