Cutting Manager

Job Context: We are a leading 100% export-oriented woven/knit garments manufacturing company. We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and result-oriented Manager (Cutting) who will lead our cutting department, ensure zero-defect fabric preparation, optimize fabric consumption, and manage a high-efficiency team.

Job Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: Plan, direct, and coordinate the daily operations of the entire cutting department to meet the sewing floor's daily requirements and shipment deadlines.

• Fabric Relaxation & Prep Management: Supervise the tension-free fabric relaxing process (especially for Lycra/elastane and knit fabrics) to ensure proper shrinkage control before spreading.

• Consumption Optimization: Maintain strict control over fabric utilization, minimize end-bits/remnants, achieve the highest marker efficiency, and systematically reduce fabric wastage.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure 100% compliance with cut-panel quality inspections, bundling accuracy, numbering control, and pattern precision to eliminate sewing-floor bottlenecks.

• CAD & Tech Pack Alignment: Coordinate closely with the CAD department to review marker layouts, fabric width variations, and shrinkage allowances before bulk cutting approval.

• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate cutters, spreaders, and helpers. Ensure optimal workforce distribution and enforce a safe working environment.

• Reporting: Maintain detailed daily cutting production reports, fabric reconciliation status reports, and wastage evaluations for management review.
