Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Manager – Admin & Compliance who can take charge of our factory administration and compliance functions with strong leadership and crisis management ability. This role is critical to ensuring smooth factory operations, legal compliance, and a safe, disciplined workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Factory Administration:
Lead and manage all factory administrative functions, including security, housekeeping, canteen, transportation, and utilities management.
Oversee manpower discipline, attendance, shift roster, and timekeeping systems.
Ensure proper facility maintenance and infrastructure support for uninterrupted factory operations.
Manage cost control, vendor management, and factory service contracts.
Establish effective coordination between factory management and workers for smooth industrial relations.
Take proactive measures in crisis management, conflict resolution, and emergency response to safeguard operations.
HR Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Laws, Fire & Safety, Environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records, leave registers, disciplinary documentation, and compliance checklists.
Lead audits, government inspections, and compliance certifications ensuring zero non-compliance issues.
Implement and monitor HR & compliance policies, SOPs, and grievance mechanisms.
Ensure worker welfare, workplace safety, and employee engagement in line with compliance standards.
Build a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical practices inside the factory.
Leadership & Strategic Role:
Act as a key liaison between management and factory employees, ensuring a balance between productivity and compliance.
Demonstrate strong leadership capacity by guiding the Admin & Compliance team effectively.
Anticipate potential risks and take preventive actions to avoid disruptions in operations.
Handle emergency situations and crisis management with a problem-solving and strategic approach.
Drive continuous improvement in factory administration and compliance practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s in HRM, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
5+ years’ proven experience in factory administration, HR compliance, and industrial operations (FMCG sector experience strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, compliance frameworks, and factory administration practices.
Experience in leading compliance audits and statutory inspections.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Ability to handle large teams, crisis situations, and maintain industrial harmony.
