Requirements

Education

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Business Management (MBM)
  • Diploma in Hotel Management
  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

    2. Professional certifications in Hospitality Leadership / Hotel Operations will be an added advantage.

    3. Strong understanding of luxury hotel operations, guest relations, and brand service standards.

    4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and financial management capabilities.

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Newspaper/Magazine, Hotel, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), CNG, Real Estate, Group of Companies, Coffee Shop, Super store

Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 55 years
  • At least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (Hotel Manager / Director of Operations / Resident Manager) in a 5-star or luxury international hotel.

Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager – Operations will be responsible for overseeing the overall hotel operations, ensuring world-class service delivery, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

1. Lead and manage all operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa, Security, Engineering, and Guest Services.

2. Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining luxury service standards and personalized guest experiences.

3. Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with hotel objectives and brand standards.

4. Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue opportunities across all departments.

5. Maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory requirements.

6. Implement guest feedback systems and drive continuous service improvement.

7. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development among staff.

8. Represent the hotel with owners, corporate office, local authorities, and key stakeholders.

9. Handle guest escalations, crisis management, and ensure smooth resolution of operational issues.

10. Drive innovation in guest services, sustainability initiatives, and brand reputation.
