Nature of Job: Project Staff

Job Location: UCEP Mirpur TVET Institute, Mirpur 2, Dhaka

Job Purpose: The Talent Partnership Project, implemented by ILO in collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh, aims to match the skills of Bangladeshi workers to the demands of European labor markets, particularly in sectors like health, ICT, agriculture, care services, hospitality, and engineering while strengthening protective mechanisms to safeguard their rights and dignity. Together with the ongoing Skills 21 Project, this intervention comprises a holistic approach to developing a proficient workforce, improving employability, and securing decent employment for Bangladeshi workers abroad. The two initiatives will leverage their synergy to maximize impact from developing industry-relevant training and qualifications, to strengthening stakeholders’ capacities, policy mechanisms, and delivery systems and collectively contribute to a more flexible, protective, and sustainable migration framework.

To support the activities under Skills-21 and Talent Partnership Projects, UCEP Bangladesh will implement a comprehensive set of activities designed to improve the quality, relevance, and inclusiveness of skills training, with a focus on aligning Bangladesh’s TVET ecosystem with European Union (EU) labor market standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote and implement UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, and mission, ensuring inclusion, gender equity, and learner-centered practices throughout all training activities.

  • Design and deliver Italian language curriculum aligned with CEFR A1–B1 levels, tailored to the needs of specific trades such as hospitality, caregiving, agriculture, and construction.

  • Integrate Italian workplace culture and communication norms into training, preparing learners for real-life scenarios and safe migration.

  • Deliver language sessions in parallel with technical/vocational training, collaborating closely with trade instructors to align language content with occupational needs.

  • Ensure full participation of selected trainees, maintaining training rosters, attendance sheets, and progress tracking for each learner.

  • Conduct placement assessments and final evaluations, and prepare learners for internationally recognized Italian proficiency exams (e.g., CELI, CILS).

  • Use engaging teaching tools, such as role plays, audio-visual materials, mobile learning apps, and scenario-based activities to enhance practical communication.

  • Facilitate access to online Italian learning platforms, self-learning resources, and group-based peer learning activities.

  • Track, analyze, and report learners’ performance and attendance, and share findings with the project team for monitoring and planning.

  • Coordinate with M&E personnel, technical trainers, and employers, participating in review meetings and adapting training strategies as needed.
