1. Job Overview

Digital Automation is looking for a skilled, experienced, and Senior Network Engineer and Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, securing, and maintaining enterprise-level network and system infrastructure.

The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of network architecture, routing and switching, server administration, firewall management, wireless networking, network security, and IT infrastructure operations.

We are looking for someone who can independently handle complex technical challenges, maintain reliable network connectivity, optimize infrastructure performance, and provide effective technical support to our clients and internal teams.

2. Educational Qualification

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), or a related technical discipline.

• Professional networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MTCNA, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.

• Relevant technical training and practical experience will receive additional consideration.

3. Professional Experience

• 5–10 years of professional experience in Network Engineering, System Administration, or IT Infrastructure Management.

• At least 6–10 years of relevant enterprise network and system infrastructure experience is preferred for senior-level responsibilities.

• Experience working with Group of Companies, Multinational Companies, Software Companies, ISPs, or large corporate IT environments will be advantageous.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment, servers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.

4. Job Responsibilities

A. Network Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure.

• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, and network appliances.

• Configure and maintain VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, trunking, STP, and network segmentation.

• Implement routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

• Perform IP address planning, subnetting, and network architecture design.

• Ensure high network availability, reliability, and performance.

B. Server & System Administration

• Install, configure, manage, and maintain Windows Server and Linux-based systems.

• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user access permissions.

• Monitor server resources, system performance, storage, and service availability.

• Manage virtualization environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms.

• Implement server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Maintain system security, updates, and configuration standards.

C. Firewall & Network Security

• Configure and manage enterprise firewalls and security appliances.

• Implement firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), and security rules.

• Configure and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPN connections.

• Monitor network traffic and identify potential security threats.

• Implement network access control and security segmentation.

• Maintain secure communication between internal networks and external systems.

D. Enterprise Wireless Network Management

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade wireless networks.

• Configure and manage Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Access Points (APs), and wireless gateways.

• Optimize Wi-Fi performance through channel planning, frequency management, and power adjustment.

• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, interference, roaming, and coverage issues.

• Implement high-density Wi-Fi solutions for hospitals, universities, corporate offices, and public environments.

E. Network Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Configure and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS).

• Monitor network availability, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and device performance.

• Identify potential network failures and resolve issues proactively.

• Prepare network performance reports and technical documentation.

• Maintain network uptime and minimize service interruptions.

F. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve complex network, server, hardware, and connectivity problems.

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support when required.

• Investigate network outages and identify root causes.

• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and technical teams.

• Perform preventive maintenance and infrastructure health checks.

G. Documentation & Team Management

• Maintain network diagrams, IP address plans, configuration backups, and technical records.

• Prepare installation reports, troubleshooting documentation, and operational guidelines.

• Guide junior engineers and technical support personnel.

• Coordinate infrastructure deployment and technical implementation projects.

• Provide regular updates to management regarding technical issues and project progress.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple technical tasks.

• Willingness to travel outside Dhaka for official field assignments.

• CCNA certification will be considered an advantage; CCNP or equivalent certifications will receive additional preference.
