Responsibilities & Context
Health and Welfare: Monitor animals for signs of disease or injury, administer medications, maintain vaccination schedules, and ensure optimal animal welfare.
Breeding Programs: Oversee livestock breeding programs, observing animals in heat, and documenting activities.
Nutrition and Feeding: Develop and implement feeding programs to ensure animals receive balanced diets for their specific needs and growth stages.
Pasture Management: Manage pasture health and quality, which is crucial for livestock feed and well-being.
Purchase and Sale of Livestock: Manage the buying and selling of animals, including negotiating with buyers.
