Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair split, window, and commercial AC units safely according to manufacturer specifications and site blueprints.
Routine Servicing: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including filter cleaning, coil chemical washing, and inspecting electrical connections.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Efficiently identify, isolate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
Component Repairs: Replace or repair defective parts, including compressors, fan motors, capacitors, expansion valves, and thermostats.
Refrigerant Handling: Detect gas leaks, perform system vacuuming, and handle gas charging (R22, R32, R410A) adhering strictly to safety regulations.
Documentation & Inventory: Maintain clear daily logs of repair tasks, maintenance schedules, and spare parts usage and inventory.
Safety & Compliance: Follow standard electrical and HVAC safety regulations, including PPE protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
