Bachelor’s degree in social science, development studies or any other relevant degrees from a recognized/accredited university.
At least 01 years of experience in business development, proposal and paper writing (skills of editing articles, publishable papers), fund mobilization for a national or international development organization.
Track record of understanding research and development work around urban development, WASH, agriculture, energy and Disaster risk reduction.
Well organized and attentive to detail.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
Excellent English writing, analytical and communication skills.
Excellent ability to work with a face to face and virtual cross-functional team.
Excellent documentation skill.
Basic knowledge on Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.

Responsibilities & Context
The Assistant Officer-Fundraising plays an important role at organizational level for fund/income mobilization which includes – assist in proposal writing, researching donor calls, donor intelligence sharing and Programme intelligence support. As a member of the Business Development, s/he will collaborate closely with Manager-Fundraising, to ensure integration of income mobilization approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the problems, opportunities, scope of innovation and systemic change issues around Practical Action's change ambitions - 1) Farming that work 2) Cities fit for people 3) Energy that transform, and 4) Resilience that protects.
Use and update organisational online proposal development and management system to facilitate an integrated proposal development process (Project and Award Management System-PAMS).
Update HubSpot (donor relationship management platform) in regular intervals.
Explore data from PAMs and generate quarterly updates, secured and unsecured and pipeline figures, update pipeline figures.
Explore opportunities from designated and open sources of call.
CV formatting and preparing profile of the proposed team members in regard to specific fit of the donor/call requirement.
Undertake field visits for fundraising as required.
Assist in proposal development activities as required.
Assist in regular reporting from fundraising team (monthly, quarterly and other ad-hoc requirements).
Assist in donor intelligence gathering and preparing of call summary.
