  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience and must have wide knowledge in government health & FP structure, LGI’s and Women affair’s department.
  • Must have wide knowledge community groups, gender-responsive SRHR, Health programming & other issues that influence stop child marriage and GBV at the community level.
  • Trained on health components, especially SRHR, MNCH and monitoring, documentation and reporting.
  • Have sound knowledge on Choices, Voices, promises approaches and mental health, gender development and adolescent’s health development.
  • A valid motorcycle driving license is required.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary: The Field Coordinator for the project will oversee the implementation ECM-III project that’s targeted to eliminate child marriage and gender base violence by maintaining good relations with local government representatives, dignitaries, religious leaders, educational institutions, government and private service providers and guardians of adolescents in the working area of the specific union. S/he is responsible to supervise field-based staffs “field facilitators (FFs)” and community skilled birth attendant (CSBA) based in UH&FWC for ensuring quality services at community level. Responsible for coordinating with community groups, other like-minded NGO and respective line departments at union level for building networking with them in interest of project objectives. A key aspect of this role is understanding the social or cultural issues that help to influence adolescents on their expected SRHR.

Planning and staff management

  • Responsible to make plans for implementing the ECM-III project activities with quality as per the project`s DIP and for execution at union level.

  • Supervise the staff of the ECM-III project and build their capacity for utilizing human resources at an optimum level.

  • Play a role in the selection of peer educators, formation of adolescent groups, father and mother groups, and ensure the formation of champion father, Aunties and influential groups in their respective work areas and their training, raise awareness by conducting promise sessions at the union level.

  • To organize project events (training, meeting, workshop, etc.) locally or centrally with coordination UH&FWC/SDU-MC, SMC, aunty, champion father, Influential, faith leaders, local service providers, parents and adolescent groups.

  • To improve quality of life skills and develop leadership of adolescents and involve them in income-generating activities.

  • Identifying extremely poor/vulnerable adolescent girls and provide stipend support.

  • Maintain regular contact with the listed married adolescents and provide advice to the married adolescents on delayed pregnancy.

  • Taking necessary measures to increase funding, including identifying local donors for Union Health and Family Welfare Centers and Community Clinics

  • Assist FF and CSBA in setting planning, implementation, assessment, and dissemination and support to strengthen UH&FWC and other community groups.

  • Comply with child rights principles in all activities. Comply with child protection (linked) principles in the personal, family and employment sectors.

  • Maintaining good relations with everyone and activating the union-based child protection committees and enhancing the enjoyment of SRHR for vulnerable adolescents through accessing service at their level.

  • Maintain a friendly and cooperative working environment with all Lamb employees, government and private sector employees involved in the work.

Program Monitoring

  • Support Monitoring and documentation officer to measure the project progress, quality, and feedback for further improvement.

  • Support management for ensuring quality of care (QOC) at service delivery points and establishing quality assurance (QA) system.

  • Preparing regular reports, recording best practices, collecting and preserving various information about the adolescents needed for the project.

  • Assist in conducting periodic program monitoring and generating the required report by using Kobo tools.

  • Support to assess the impact of the program and capturing the lessons learned from target community.

  • Assist in enhancing knowledge and skill of staff on documentation, record keeping, and facilitation through follow-up, coaching, and mentoring.

Advocacy, Networking and Coordination

  • Ensure to make collaboration with all project staff that enable effective communication with different stakeholders.

  • Ensure effective advocacy and communication with CG, UH&FWC-MC, LGIs, health service provider, Govt. officials and local administration.

  • Maintain good communication and supportive monitoring to the adolescent group, IGA & Stipend recipient parents’ group and others groups of the project to keep them functional.

Developing the capacity of project Staff & Service provider

  • Ensure all personnel-related issues for the designated project(s) staff are carried out by LAMB policies/guidelines.

  • Monitoring and reviewing performance of subordinate staffs giving corrective feedback where required and taking decisive action in the case of poor performance.

Beyond this, Integration of spiritual, emotional & social health

  • Ensure spiritual concepts & holistic approach in communication, service delivery, administration and resolution of conflicts

  • Comply with LAMB policies and practices with respect to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunity and other relevant policies and organizational values.

  • Other responsibilities assigned by the line manager or organizational management. Be an example in implementing the project activities to the organizational mission, vision, and values.

  • Any other duties assigned by respective supervisors.

Compensation & Other Benefits

    Around Tk. 27,100 per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
