Experience of working with projects/programs focused on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Responsibilities & Context
Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement FIVDB- GIZ-SHADE Gender Responsive Approaches to Conflict Resolution Intervention in Teknaf, implemented FIVDB, Cox’s Bazar Project under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox's Bazar, in partnership with GIZ.
The duration of the project is 18 Months (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Teknaf, with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities. The job is contractual for the project period with a three (3) months probation period.
Job Responsibilities
Technical Specialist-GBV will be responsible for the effective management, implementation, and support of GBV interventions in his/her assigned working areas under the FIVDB-GIZ-SHADE Project in compliance with the FIVDB policies, procedures, and donor compliance. S/he will manage, supervise, and support project staff and take initiatives to build their capacity for effective planning, implementation of project activities in close collaboration with stakeholders, following project guidelines and humanitarian standards. S/he will closely work and maintain effective coordination with Project Officers, M&E Officer, Finance and Admin Officer, Technical Specialist- Conflict Mitigation, Project Coordinator, Government Liaison Officer, and other relevant personnel. S/he will establish and maintain liaison and close coordination with local Govt administration, humanitarian agencies, NGOs, site management, and other stakeholders. S/he will also ensure project implementation meets the global/organizational standards of emergency responses and donors’ compliance aspects; ensure the project monitoring mechanism is established and functional to ensure quality implementation and downwards accountability. S/he will be reportable to the Project Coordinator, FIVDB-GIZ-SHADE Project, FIVDB.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
The position holder is responsible for ensuring the quality and improvement of the GBV intervention of the FIVDB-GIZ-SHADE Project as per the signed agreement.
S/he is responsible for the timely and quality implementation of GBV activities, compliance with donor rules and regulations, and effective stakeholder relationship management.
S/he is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the partner and different sectors in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Works closely with Project Officers and facilitators to provide safe, confidential, and integrated GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable community members.
Contribute to developing SoPs for the team in the identification of cases and case management
Monitor participants/beneficiaries' progress during sessions and refer individuals showing signs of psychological/emotional distress to case workers and/or appropriate service providers.
Ensure that best practices are used and that case files are filled out correctly, and conduct pre-/post-test client wellness/functioning to measure effectiveness.
Develop Training Modules for GBV training
Provide TOT to Community facilitators
Provide technical support to mediator forums and peace promotion groups
Documentation, case management, and referral services. Develop case studies and success stories
Preparing the project deliverables as per the project design for donors
Any other duties assigned by respective supervisors

Ensures that FIVDB and GIZ’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy, including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB’s Code of Conduct (CoC), PSEA Policy, their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
