  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in financial management within a reputable NGO,
  • Good computer knowledge (MS office suite, typing both English and Bangla).
  • Should have specific knowledge on financial analysis and accounting software.
  • Ability to write clear reports, to analyze and interpret data, and to prepare spread sheets.
  • Communication skill Strong in written and fluent English.

Job Context: Integrated Development Forum (IDF) is a non-government, non-political, humanitarian relief and Development organization. It has been working as a national organization in Bangladesh since 2007. It is committed to serving the needy people and working towards various humanitarian and development Programmes such as Humanitarian Assistance, Education, Health & Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), Sustainable Livelihood & Agricultural Development, Skill development, Environment & Climate Change, Ramadan, Qurbani, Street & Orphan children care, Partnership and Resource Mobilization, Volunteers development and Refugee response. These Programmes are implemented in various region of Bangladesh supported by various international donors such as Human Relief Foundation (HRF)-UK, Islamic Help-UK, Global One-UK, Muslim Charity-UK, Asiya International-Germany, Muslim Relief-UK, Orphan Support International (OSI)-USA,ASF-Action Sans Forntiere-French,AQB Management Consulting Ltd-Qatar, Relief Foundation, Useful To Others (UTO)-France, Humanity for All (HFA)-Australia, Global Ehsan Relief Worldwide-UK, Amal Al Salihah-Australia, individual donors and Government of Bangladesh. Integrated Development Forum (IDF) is dedicated for the deprived people for comprehensive development activities to overcome people’s vulnerability and sufferings irrespective of cast, creed, religion and ethnicity pursuit of just society. IDF, is expanding its development interventions across 40 upazilas under 34 districts of Bangladesh.

IDF is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The ‘Accounts Officer’ will work under the direct Accounts Coordinator of the organization and will undertake the tasks and duties to assist implementation any activities. The specific tasks are, but not limited to, as follows:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records of the project compliance with donor and organizational guidelines.
  • Prepare, check, and record all vouchers, invoices, bills, and receipts related to project activities.
  • Ensure timely disbursement and settlement of project funds request and advances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as per donor and organizational requirements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely deposit of project funds.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and expenditure plans.
  • Monitor financial transactions to ensure transparency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Safeguard project financial documents and maintain proper filing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with donor, NGO Bureau, and other relevant financial rules and regulations.
  • Perform any other financial or administrative tasks assigned by the account’s coordinator.
  • Help implementing project activities of the project through frequent field visits.
  • Ensure donor compliance including financial transaction
  • Orient and update donors’ compliance to the project staff.
  • Check and verify the bills/Invoices as per plan and process for payment.
  • Ensure appropriate fund allocation for all activities.
  • Ensure to maintain and updates all accounts related books and documents such as cashbook, Bank book/check issue register, ledger, subsidiary ledger and other financial documentation associate with financial management.
  • Financial risk analysis.
  • Ensure proper management of petty cash management.
  • Administrative support and human resources management
  • Prepare expenses summary report and identify any deviation, made recommendation to Management.
  • Analyze budget expenditure and prepare financial reports for project reporting.
  • Prepare all kind of financial reports (Trial Balance, Receipt & Payment Account, Budget and Expenditure Statement, Cash and Expenditure Status, Cash Recap by Bank Account, Bank Reconciliation Statement etc.).
  • Coordinate and communicate with Bank authority for any deviation.

Others Responsibilities

  • Maintain the sub-project bank account and prepare monthly bank Reconciliation Statements;
  • Support internal audit section for internal audit and support external auditors with necessary information of the sub-project;
  • Any other tasks, duties, or specific tasks assigned by the Program Manager, Coordinator (PC) and management of the organization

Compensation & Other Benefits

    Monthly consolidated salary is BDT 25,000 Other benefits as per organization policy
