- Bachelor degree in any discipline in Civil Engineering
- Diploma in Civil
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 3–4 years of relevant experience; or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5–6 years of relevant experience.

- Experience of construction for rural structure communities, such as WASH/SWM/FSM/DSP Plant

Responsibilities & Context
Key Area 1: Support the implementation of the WASH Project
Implement under supervison of WASH programme Manager day-to-day implementation of WASH activities in line with approved project plans and budgets.
Supervise construction and repair of WASH facilities (e.g., like drains, latrines (with solar light), bathing cubicles, bins, incinerator, handwashing station, environmental cleaning area, co-composting area, solid waste, faecal sludge management, and desalination plant related interventions.).
Develop technical designs, drawings, and BoQs using software like AutoCAD
Support hygiene promotion initiatives including development & distribute of IEC materials and hygiene behavior change modules.
Coordinate hygiene and IPC item distribution (e.g., hygiene kits, emergency kits).
Monitor hygiene and sanitation conditions across facilities and encourage community engagement in maintenance and involve communities in keeping them clean and safe.
Key Area 2: Supervision of WASH project team
supervise the work of team members, volunteers, and WASH Assistants regularly to ensure timely and good-quality work.
Identify capacity gaps and organise training sessions for project staff, volunteers, and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Provide continuous coaching and feedback to WASH Assistants to improve their work.
Promote knowledge sharing through meetings, workshops, and community events.
Ensure that all staff and volunteers use proper safety gear (PPE) as per organisational and sectoral standards. Monitor and ensure adherence to child safeguarding and safety protocols by vendors and partners
Key Area 3: Technical Support
Provide technical support to complete construction and renovation works in accordance with technical standards and guidelines.
Assist in the development of training materials for hygiene, WASH FIT, IPC, waste management, and advocacy.
Support operation and maintenance of WASH facilities (camp, host, and HCF), including FSM, solid waste, and desalination plant.
Regularly collect, review, validate and analyse data from the field related to WASH activities in camps, surrounding host community areas, and HCFs and make recommendations.
Key Area 4: Planning and Reporting
Conduct site visits and ensure timely documentation of progress and challenges.
Prepare and monitor work plans, ensuring timely completion of activities and responsiveness to urgent needs.
Maintain accurate records of materials usage and progress. Document lessons learned and support the development of success stories.
Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and share updates with management for internal and external use.
Organize regular meetings with the team, and other WASH actors, and keep proper notes/minutes.
Key Area 5: Internal – external Coordination and Networking
Communicate and collaboration with internal-external stakeholders (e.g. DPHE, District/sub-district health authorities, sector, UN agencies, INGO, NGO and local organisation), in the absence of the Programme Manager, and with authorisation
Coordinate and build strong relationships with internal departments, local government bodies, and sectoral stakeholders
On request of the Programme Manager, represent Tdh in sectoral meetings and advocate for improved policies and services.
Facilitate community dialogue to enhance ownership and sustainability.
Key Area 6: Advocacy and System Support
Engage in advocacy efforts to improve WASH service delivery, especially in rural and healthcare contexts.
Collaborate with government actors to strengthen WASH governance and sustainability.
Implement WASH FIT and other global tools to improve HCF WASH infrastructure and services.
Contribute to fundraising and budgeting processes for future WASH programming
Key Area 7: Other responsibilites
Support Tdh from time to time, with any other legitimate request in line with the role and the objectives of the organisation.
