Creative Conservation Alliance (CCA registered as The Society for Conservation of Natural Resources) is an international award-winning, government-registered, Bangladesh-based non-governmental organization committed to protecting, restoring, and conserving Bangladesh’s threatened biodiversity and natural habitats. CCA achieves conservation success through scientific research, community engagement, provision of livelihood services to nature-dependent communities, conservation breeding and rehabilitation of threatened wildlife, rewilding, advocacy, and outreach.
Background
The Creative Conservation Alliance (CCA) implements long-term, site-based conservation across six key regions of Bangladesh. Our integrated initiatives include biodiversity surveys, wildlife monitoring, habitat protection, operating conservation breeding and rehabilitation centers for threatened species, rewilding, and engaging local communities in sustainable resource management. CCA actively collaborates with government and non-government partners to achieve its mission.
CCA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Officer to join our team at the Head Office in Mirpur, Dhaka. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of development or environmental issues, project management frameworks, and excellent writing and interpersonal skills. This individual will be responsible for working with the program team to monitor project progress, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Research, write, edit, and format high-quality donor reports, project proposals, annual reports, and project progress reports in a timely manner.
Research, write, and edit high-quality content for external and internal communications to support project visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Coordinate with field teams to receive, synthesize, and report on project data against set indicators, timelines, and deliverables.
Help prepare M&E reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain organized digital archives of all project documents, reports, and data.
Represent the organization in meetings with government and non-government stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress and updates.
Draft professional correspondence for government, local and international partner organizations.
Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, and meetings by handling agendas, presentations, and minutes.
Collaborate with the admin team to ensure the smooth operation of all programs.
Assist in the preparation of work plans, budgets, and activity schedules.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Conduct occasional field visits to program sites as required.
Required Skills and Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in report writing, proposal development, and communication, preferably within the NGO, development, or environmental sector.
A non-discriminatory mindset and ability to work effectively and respectfully within a diverse team.
A genuine passion for and understanding of environmental and conservation issues in Bangladesh.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong ability to write clearly, persuasively, and effectively for various audiences.
Ability to communicate effectively with field staff, scientists, community members, government officials and other high-level partners.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software.
Experience with project management and monitoring frameworks and tools.
Willingness to travel to field sites to gain first-hand understanding of projects.
Ability to think critically and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
