Requirements
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or equivalent.
4–5 years of experience in toolroom operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.

Additional Requirements
Strong knowledge of mold making, tool design, and precision machining.
Hands-on experience with CNC, VMC, EDM, and conventional machines.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for tool design and modification.
Expertise in press tools, injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context
Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising day-to-day toolroom activities.
Oversee the manufacturing, modification, and maintenance of tools, molds, dies, and fixtures.
Ensure proper utilization of toolroom machinery and resources to meet production timelines.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure availability of tools and dies as per operational requirements.
Maintain high accuracy and precision in tool manufacturing and repairs.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
Inspect and verify the quality of tools, dies, and fixtures before release to production.
Collaborate with the quality control team to address any defects or issues.
Supervise and mentor the toolroom team to enhance performance and efficiency.
Conduct skill development training for operators and technicians.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies within the toolroom.
Support the Manager – Toolroom In-Charge in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Suggest techniques to extend tool life and reduce maintenance costs.
Assist in budget planning and cost control related to toolroom operations.
Maintain detailed records of toolroom activities, including modifications, maintenance logs, and production data.
Prepare and present toolroom performance reports to management.
Document and update tool designs and technical specifications for reference.
