Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Merchandising (MLIL – Luggage and Footwear)

Planning, coordinate with buyers, designers, and suppliers to develop new products as per seasonal trends.

Prepare accurate product costing, negotiate with suppliers, and finalize price quotations.

Handle buyer orders from sample development to bulk production.

Maintain strong communication with factories, suppliers, and buyers.

Monitor production progress, ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Work with QA teams to ensure product quality meets buyer standards.

Arrange and follow up on raw materials, trims, and accessories.

Oversee proto, fit, pre-production, and shipment samples.

Prepare and manage all order-related documents (PI, LC, invoice, packing list, etc.).

Develop and monitor T&A (Time & Action Plan) for each order.

Resolve production, quality, or supply chain issues promptly.

Study market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences.

Maintain positive relationships with buyers to secure repeat business.

Work closely with design, QA, commercial, and logistics teams.

Provide daily/weekly updates to management and buyers regarding order status
