Requirements
Education
- Bachelor/Honors
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE).
Master’s degree or professional training in Operations Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- At least 10 years

Additional Requirements

Strong knowledge of knit garments manufacturing processes.
Excellent production planning and operational management skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
Knowledge of labor laws, buyer compliance, and workplace safety.
Proficiency in ERP/MIS and production reporting systems.
Ability to achieve production targets and ensure on-time delivery.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
To ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the knit garments factory by managing production, planning, quality, manpower, operational costs, and interdepartmental coordination. The Operations Manager will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, and driving continuous operational improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee overall factory operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and shipment production targets.
Monitor production efficiency, productivity, quality, and operational costs.
Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Merchandising, HR, and Maintenance Departments.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Ensure timely delivery of orders as per buyer requirements.
Control production costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, buyer requirements, and safety standards.
Lead departmental heads and develop a performance-driven team.
Monitor operational KPIs and prepare regular performance reports for management.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
